Life in the UK is a test that you only need to pass once in your lifetime. It is not such a big deal, really, but it can become a real pain in the neck if you fail your first attempt and need to try again; first of all, it costs you another £34; but also it means a delay in your citizenship application. Naturalization, or obtaining your Indefinite Leave to Remain, can be a rather lengthy procedure; there’s no need in making it even longer by failing your citizenship test.
